Call Recording Policy

Weesite LTD · Last updated: 2 July 2026 · The one-minute, plain-English version of how call recording works when you ring a business that uses our AI receptionist.

Why calls are recorded

When you call a business that uses our AI receptionist, the call is recorded and transcribed so that:

  • the business gets your details exactly right — your name, number and what you need, with no messages taken down wrong; and
  • they can listen back before returning your call, and keep an accurate record of the enquiry.

That's it. Recordings exist for accuracy, quality and record-keeping — nothing else.

How you know

The receptionist tells you at the start of the call that it's recorded. If you ask whether you're speaking to a real person, it will tell you honestly: it's a digital receptionist, and a real person from the business calls you back.

If you don't want to be recorded, you can simply end the call and contact the business another way (their website or email), or mention it to the person who calls you back.

What happens to a recording

  • It's stored securely and encrypted, and is visible only to the business you called (in their private dashboard) and to us as their technology provider.
  • It is never sold, never used for advertising, and we do not use it to train our own AI models. Our speech-technology providers process it only to deliver the service, under their own safeguards.
  • It is automatically deleted after 90 days (some businesses choose a shorter period). The written details of your enquiry may be kept longer as part of the business's normal customer records.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of a recording of your call, or ask for it to be deleted. The quickest route is to ask the business you called — legally, the recording is theirs to manage and we act on their instructions. If you contact us at support@weesite.dev we'll help and pass your request on the same day. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you're not satisfied.
